For 17-year-old Alexis Minerva, trusting angels has never been an option. Ever since they arrived on Earth during Y2K and wormed their way into human society, she’s kept her distance. People might see them as divine, but to her, they’re nothing but trouble—especially after her sister Priscilla disappeared with one seven years ago.

Then there’s Milo. Mysterious, annoyingly persistent Milo, an angel who seems to have set his sights on Alexis for reasons she can’t figure out. When Priscilla makes a cryptic phone call, Alexis realizes her sister is in trouble and needs help. To save her, Alexis must step into the angels' world—the very world she’s spent her life running from.
